You can purchase xU3O8 by converting your existing cryptocurrency into USDC on Etherlink directly on the Uranium.io platform! Note that this is currently only supported for customers on desktop/web devices. Mobile support will be released in the coming weeks.
*Before proceeding, please ensure you hold sufficient funds on both the source blockchain (e.g. ETH on Ethereum/Base, BNB on BSC, etc.) and XTZ on Etherlink, to pay the gas fees associated with the transfer. For more information on why, click here.
Here’s how:
Sign in to the dApp.
Open the wallet drawer by clicking your wallet address in the header.
Select Deposit USDC – you’ll see two options:
Buy USDC using local currency
Bridge from other chains/networks
Choose Bridge from other chains/networks to convert your existing crypto into USDC on Etherlink.
Click Connect sender wallet and link the wallet that holds the funds you want to use. If you hold your funds at the same address as your uranium.io address but on a different chain, simply connect the same wallet again.
Select the source chain/network and the token you’d like to bridge from.
Enter the amount you wish to convert.
Review the transaction details – you’ll see how much USDC on Etherlink you’ll receive.
If everything looks good, confirm and sign the transactions on both:
The source chain/network (where your tokens are held)
The destination chain/network (Etherlink). Note that this will take place up to ~1 min after initiating the bridge and signing the transaction on the source chain.
Once complete, your USDC will be available on Etherlink, ready to purchase xU3O8.
